GVM is a networking and resource group that meets on a quarterly basis to network and share strategies with one another in volunteer management and leadership in government settings across the state of Minnesota. Anyone who works with volunteers in a government setting is encouraged to attend.
What is the purpose of GVM?
Government staff collaborate and share philosophies, in hope to strengthen our communities at all levels. Making an impact by promoting a cohesive approach within our volunteer opportunities and overall engagement. This group is not limited to MAVA members only.
How often do we meet?
The GVM group meets 3 - 4 times per year in various locations. Meetings are hosted by current GVM members.
What is the meeting format?
The meetings are informal and approximately 2 - 2.5 hours in duration. Typically there is a moderator to assist in leading the discussion, but the conversations are determined by the needs of those attending.
