How to Take Risks and Elevate Volunteerism in Your Community

About this event

Come imagine what it could look like for you to take risks, try new things, and see the impact of your innovations on your volunteer program! Join us online for a fun workshop, to learn about fresh takes on volunteerism including
- How to move from passive to active volunteer recruitment
- How to create low-effort volunteer opportunities for commitment-phobic volunteers
- What can be gained from "volunteer-sharing" with other nonprofits in your area

We'll be joined by Mindi Larson and Emily Dreyer, program coordinators behind the
Elevate Program in small-town Perham, Minnesota. In this workshop, Emily and Mindi will include a light-hearted section where they include all the common "Why this won't work for us" reactions!

Come imagine what it could look like for you to take risks, try new things, and see the impact of your innovations on your volunteer program!

Online or in-person?
This workshop will take place via Zoom.

Facilitators:

The presentation is the joint efforts of Mindi Larson and Emily Dreyer of Elevate. Mindi and Emily run the community facing portion of Elevate. From coordinating, planning and marketing all parts of our program to ensuring local businesses and organizations are supported in all facets of their volunteer needs: they do it all while making it fun, engaging and eye catching.
In their free time Emily is embarking on the longest home renovation of all time and Mindi has a serious ice fishing addiction.
