City Involvement of Culturally Diverse Volunteers
City Involvement of Culturally Diverse Volunteer Research Report
Minnesota Association for Volunteer Administration (MAVA) December 2015
As part of an initiative funded by the Bush Foundation on city volunteer engagement, MAVA talked with about a half dozen cities to learn about their successes and challenges in involving the cultural diversity of their city as volunteers. With assistance from the cities, MAVA was able to talk with nine people who volunteer for cities, and three additional volunteers for other organizations. From these conversations ten key strategies emerged for cities to engaging the cultural diversity of their city in volunteering.
